<span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="3"><font face="helvetica">In the fetid, methane ridden fens of Lincolnshire lives Shadrach Boswell. </font></font></span><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="3"><font face="helvetica">No-one knows very much about “Uncle” Shadrach or his relatives although it was darkly rumoured that there were connections with horse stealing.</font></font></span><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="3"><font face="helvetica">This is hotly denied with the splitting up of the family and its spreading out of the county being caused purely by the need to extend their knifegrinding services beyond the unwelcoming, sparsely populated region they inhabited.</font></font></span><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="3"><font face="helvetica">When Shadrach calls a party, family members return, from all corners of the British Isles and even France and Louisiana!</font></font></span><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="3"><font face="helvetica">Mayhem ensues.</font></font></span><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="3"><font face="helvetica">The highlight of one of Uncle Shadrach’s family reunions is always the music played in a way only The Knifegrinders are capable of.</font></font></span><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="3"><font face="helvetica">The mixture of instruments, songs, tunes and dances from both the Rock and Folk world illustrate the wide experiences of the Boswell family good times shared at Shadrach’s house.</font></font></span><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="3"><font face="helvetica">Those “fortunate” enough to witness a family gathering are usually unable to put The Knifegrinders into a particular slot.</font></font></span><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="3"><font face="helvetica">“Sort of Rock ‘n’ roll …blues ….ceilidh dancing …..good fun…. YEAH – Good Fun!!!” is what people will say if asked to explain what they have seen and heard.</font></font></span><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="3"><font face="helvetica">Ask any Knifegrinder what they play and a confused look will come cross his face – the usual reply, after much painful thought is, “Music”<span> </span><span> </span></font></font></span><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="3"><font face="helvetica">Only on rare occasions will Shadrach Boswell’s Knifegrinders<span> </span>perform in public – some say it’s the fear of being recognised or, maybe, all being together in one place is something they are unhappy about!</font></font></span><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="3"><font face="helvetica">That’s why it’s hard to predict just how many Knifegrinders will play at any one time but, regardless of the number in the band, Shadrach Boswell’s Knifegrinders will give you a taste of the good times they believe music is all about.</font></font></span><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="3"><font face="helvetica">Please don’t tell the magistrates that The Knifegrinders are around – the band gets very nervous.</font></font></span><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"> </font>
