Singing since childhood - with school, church and secular choirs, and also with her sisters as an acapella trio during her teen years, Marva has most recently been a member of UK-based The Monday Choir. Currently she's been developing repertoire with guitarist Gary Gray, and is working on original material.</div>
<br />For a brief time Marva also sang with the Brecon Community Choir and has now been developing solo performance - acapella or accompanied by musician or backing tracks. Her vocal style is influenced by Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, David Bowie, Ella Fitzgerald, Ronnie Spector, Roy Orbison, Annette Peacock, among others.
